CNC, Computer Numerical control is a modern concept. Using CNC machines various type of complicated machining is performed to achieve very high accurate and quality parts.

                        In manual (conventional) machines, generally all movements are manually or machinecally controlled, mostly this limit to total control of one axis at a time and the accuracy achieved is not repeatitive. To over come this problem NC was developed.Even thought NC could serve the purpose, it was only limited to point to point traverse in a single direction. Complicaled profiles, radial, contours were not possible. CNC has overcome this problem,  since all axes are recognised and controller electronically to give a precise movement. The main advantages being very high rate of production, considerably less manual labour, very high standards of quality repetitive, accuracy etc.
